What’s your favourite place on the Northern Beaches?
The Bermuda Triangle, (Everything good happens within that Triangle) bordered by DY hotel,
Harbord Hilton Hotel and the Manly Wharf Bar

Is there something about you that would surprise people?
I’m a chicken when it comes to the great outdoors – camping is an absolute No No! Minimum 4 stars when on vacation 😉

What’s something everyone should do at least once?
It’s very individual but try to face whatever it is that you are most afraid of

Watching Manly play at Brookvale oval or the Harbord Devils A grade at Harbord Park

If you were down to your last $50 what would you spend it on?
A case of Great Northern. Drink it down at the office at Manly, and see what I could create

How did your personal training career happen?  How long have you been operating?
Injuries and a passion for training saw me quit footy early on and leave the building industry at 25 to pursue a career in fitness full-time. This led to teaching 25 classes a week (participation based) and a fitness presenting role on TV. I’ve been a professional trainer now for over 30 years.

Best business experience?
The Biggest Loser. The biggest loser enabled me to do what I love doing but on a much grander
scale

If you weren’t doing this, what would you be doing?
Building

Best part of your job or most enjoyable part of your job?
Living and working on the Northern Beaches.
Getting paid to do what I love.
Every day is a holiday / and every meal is a banquet

Most stressful part of your job?
Always being motivated and positive, and the expectation irrespective of the day / situation.

Weirdest thing that has ever happened at work?
One of the contestants in the biggest loser once fell on me at training and I needed a shoulder reconstruction.

What’s the best part of working on the Northern Beaches? Why’d you chose to work here?
Spoilt for choice. Lots of areas to be outside and train. Walks – Blue fin point to Shelly Beach. It’s Magic.

Energy. Unquenchable energy.

Taking on too much. Saying Yes to often.
