What’s your favourite place on the Northern Beaches?
Queenscliff ocean pool where my grandsons swim in the local swim club on Saturday’s during Summer.

Is there something about you that would surprise people?
I do a great kookaburra call and I was a hairdresser

What’s something everyone should do at least once?
Visit Disney Land

It’s Sunday afternoon, where do we find you?
Cutting up fruit and vegetables for Monday.

If you were down to your last $50 what would you spend it on?
Give it to a charity as there isn’t much you  buy for $50 these days.

Business

How did X happen?  How long have you been operating?
My husband surprised me with this business venture 45 years ago.

Best business experience?
Having the children I have cared for over the years come back to enrol their own children.  And last year we had 6 of our past Kid City Kids across 6 different primary and high schools all representing their families and school communities as ‘School Captains’

If you weren’t doing this, what would you be doing?
Volunteering

Best part of your job or most enjoyable part of your job?
I enjoy cooking homely meals and the cuddles.  Children are keeping me young in mind and body.

Most stressful part of your job?
Nothing – I love everything about in my job

Weirdest thing that has ever happened at work?
A massive swarm of bees descended on the Kindergarten and we were forced inside for the rest of the day until the bee keeper arrived.  They were like a blanket hovering above our playground

What’s the best part of working on the Northern Beaches? Why’d you chose to work here?
The Northern Beaches is like being on holidays everyday.

What would you rate 10/10?
My two daughters and my wonderful dedicated staff

What is the best advice you’ve received?
Live everyday like it’s your last one.

What’s the best thing that’s happened to you this week?
I scored 163 in my game of ten pin bowling and earned Player of the Week.

Greatest strength?
Determination

Greatest weakness?
I fall asleep as soon as I sit down and relax.

Does anything scare you?
Falling over

What’s your most treasured possession?
My family

What’s your idea of absolute happiness?
That my family are healthy and happy.

Which two famous people would you choose to be stuck in a lift with?
Hugh Jackman & Ellen Degeneres….He’s very handsome and she’d make it fun.

What travel experiences is on your bucket list?
A European River Cruise

How do you switch off?
I already told you that – I just have to sit down. Or A lovely meal and a foot massage

What’s your guilty pleasure?
White Magnums

Who’s your personal hero?
My daughter Donna…she’s been in remission for 8 years.

If you were an animal, what would you be?
A Kookaburra…they know how to have a good laugh

How would you like to be remembered?
Never giving up

Who in your past do you wish could still be here with you?
My husband Bill (Billy Boy) as he still beats everyday in my heart.  I would love to show him what Kid CIty is today and all that I have achieved with my daughters beside me over the years.
