The Bower

Is there something about you that would surprise people?
I made a wine with a Hunter Valley based winemaker friend and we called it “the Bold and Beautiful” named after the Manly swim.

What’s something everyone should do at least once?
A liver cleanse.

Shooting hoops with my 14 year old son

We started Cheeky Little to focus on Cheeky animated content for Little people.

How long have you been operating?
11 years

Best business experience?
Having our first show commissioned by the ABC, BBC and Netflix.

If you weren’t doing this, what would you be doing?
I’d like to have been a winemaker.

Best part of your job or most enjoyable part of your job?
Working with really talented creative teams. We have so many amazing people working at Cheeky.

Most stressful part of your job?
Trying to finance the next show

What’s the best part of working on the Northern Beaches?
Being able to go for a swim before work.

What’s your most treasured possession?
A bottle of 2009 Grand Cru Burgundy that I bought for my son to give him when he’s old enough to appreciate it.

What’s your idea of absolute happiness?
A relaxing Sunday lunch with family.

Which two people, famous or not are you inviting over for dinner?
Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.

What travel experiences are on your bucket list?
Any wine region that I haven’t been to… Rioja is high on the list.

How do you switch off?
Cycle long distances up the northern beaches

What’s your guilty pleasure?
Chocolate croissants from Staples.

Who’s your personal hero?
Michael Jordan… I’ve watched the Last Dance 3 times.

If you were an animal, what would you be?
An eagle

How would you like to be remembered?
Hopefully I have made some shows that will be enjoyed by future generations.
